Sessions & coaching for

INDIVIDUALS

One-to-one coaching sessions

Thank you for exploring the services I offer for individuals. The fact that you are here tells me that your life is not yet quite how you would like it to be. Perhaps something is not working as well as you want and you would like to change it, or perhaps life is good and you want to create an even better future. Whatever your situation, I am here to help you and I promise results. Since 2016, my aim has been to help people get where they want to be as quickly as possible. That often happens far sooner than most people dare to hope, and I hope you will experience the same. The techniques I will introduce you to, and that we will use together, have proved their value time and again.

They also stand out because they are enjoyable and bring a whole range of positive benefits. How can I say this with confidence? Because we will work on more than improving your circumstances. We will strengthen what has the greatest influence on your life and its quality: YOU, your wellbeing and your beliefs. Whatever we have been through, we are the people who can change our lives for the better. Sometimes, to make that happen, we need better knowledge, better techniques, a fresh mindset and a stronger emotional state.

The good news is that this is much simpler than you might think. The challenging news is that lasting change takes real effort. If this speaks to you, I encourage you to read on.

One-to-one coaching sessions

I believe that success and enjoyment rest on three things:

  1. How well we find TECHNIQUES that work for the task at hand.

  2. How well we develop BELIEFS that support us.

  3. How well we can manage our emotional state.

These skills affect everything we do, whether we want to reach new heights and excel or work through difficult life experiences. Let me explain why these three things matter so much.

If we want something to change,

we need to take action. A technique is like a recipe: it tells us what to do and in what order. It is, in effect, an action plan. If a technique has worked for others, there is a good chance it can produce similar results for us. But if we use the wrong approach, hard work alone is unlikely to give us the results we want.

Suppose we know what we want and have a good technique to follow. What does success depend on now? Our beliefs and attitudes. These are the feelings, images and phrases that come to mind when we think about something. What feelings arise when you hear about:

Personal development, Donald Trump, politics, a half marathon, KR sports club, money, yoga, spiritual practice, public speaking, capital punishment, discus throwing, smoking, the Þjóðhátíð festival, health, love, success, wellbeing — or yourself?

Those feelings reflect your attitudes towards these things. Our attitudes help us make sense of what we perceive and decide whether something matters to us, whether it is desirable or whether we should avoid it. They can work powerfully in our favour or stop us in our tracks. If I know what I want and have a good technique, but my beliefs say, ‘I could never do that’, ‘I am too X to try’ or ‘This is ridiculous’, I am likely to give up when things get difficult.

Now suppose we have both a good technique and beliefs such as ‘I can’, ‘I will’ and ‘This will improve my life’. What else could influence the outcome?

The answer is our emotional state. Why? Because it has a profound influence on our access to knowledge, skills and creative thinking. In a peak emotional state, we open up access to the best of what is within us. We become braver, spot opportunities more easily, focus on solutions and make more constructive decisions that lead to constructive action. In a poor emotional state, it can be hard to retrieve information we already know. Our abilities seem to diminish, creative thinking almost disappears and even simple things can feel overwhelming. As a result, it becomes difficult to make decisions and take steps towards our goals.

Today, we are fortunate to have better access to useful techniques than ever before. We can use AI, study or take courses, read books, watch videos and listen to interviews about achieving almost any goal. What determines whether we follow through is our beliefs and our habitual emotional state.

I offer powerful training in mindset and emotional skills. My focus is on teaching and practising techniques that help people enter what I call a peak emotional state, and on replacing limiting beliefs with beliefs that work powerfully in our favour.
